We would be lying if we said we didn't look forward to happy hour each day whilst in quarantine. There's few things that make our day varied while being at home and fun cocktails is a great way to change it up. Plus, you might as well practice your bartender skills now so you can impress your friends/family later!
Julia came up with a delicious rose cocktail that has hints of rose tea, sweet honey, red wine, and an underlying bourbon whisky flavor. This is now one of our go-to drinks for the sunny days ahead.
Sweet Rose Sunset
2oz rose tea concentrate (Brew 12oz water with two rose teabags, allow to steep for 15-20 minutes, cool)
.5oz lemon juice
.25 oz honey syrup
1oz bourbon whiskey
1 oz red wine float
Combine Ice, Rose Tea, Lemon, Honey, Whiskey in a cocktail shaker (or mason jar with a lid) and shake vigorously 10 times. Strain over fresh ice into an old fashioned glass or stemless wine glass. Gently top with 1oz red wine (don't pour too fast or it will mix)! Cheers!
